| Forest
Handling Technology:
Palmasola believes in researching and developing new
techniques and forests handling methods, aiming to reduce
ecological impact. So, the company made a partnership
with the Forests Engineering Department inside the UFMT
(Federal University of Mato Grosso) regarding the “Program
of supported handling for multiple uses of the tropical
forest: a commercial demonstration model of forests
handling".
This project had the installation of a forest handling
demonstration station, which was used commercially,
in the city of Huaiá-Missú. This station
works as a research field for the developing of new
processes and new exploration methods, with the support
of the University research team. The knowledge that
comes from this experiment is recorded, published and
passed to the business community.
