Transport
Palmasola regularly transports raw material produced on its affiliates Brasnorte, Sinop and Marcelândia to the headquarters at Palma Sola. From Palma Sola, 3,500 m³ of products are shipped for exportation monthly, to the harbors of Paranaguá, Itajaí and São Francisco. The transportation to a harbor specified by the client is also possible.

The transportation is made with a fleet of 51 vehicles, among those of all the factories:

This fleet is completely managed by a modern computerized system of maintenance. It is the same system used to manage the stationary industrial machinery, both for corrective and preventive maintenance. Every driver works in uniform, they get training every year about tire handling, given by expert technicians from the main suppliers (GoodYear/ Michelin).
They also take part on the Accident Prevention Week, where they receive information, training and updated information about safety on roads.
Although Palmasola doesn’t carry hazardous cargo, recently four drivers have taken a course about this kind of transportation. This knowledge gives an extra knowledge to the team, making this team prepared to take preventive and corrective actions of safety in transporting.
